Gerry Hunsicker and Joe McIlvaine's Master Plan Finally Implemented, Mets top Brew Crew in Soupy Success
This is either Prince Fielder trying to eat the fog that descended on Shea last night, or Aaron Heilman making his way through a successful outing, I can't tell.
Ryan Jaroncyk, top pick in 1995 could not be there last night because his boss at JiffyLube in North Carolina made him work late as punishment for being late to work on account of his attendance at a Grant Roberts bong party. But Nelson Figueroa and Cassanova put on a show that almost distracts us from Reyes Hammy issues.

Meanwhile, while Johan Santana pitches against Ben Sheets, the MLB and Fux Network have teamed together to ensure no out of market fans have a prayer of seeing this game even when they purchase $160 so-called "Extra Innings" package. Thanks again Bud Selig, when I see you in hell, you better be running.

Your post was OK. But you Santana's performance left me a bit concerned. Hey, if the guy isn't perfect and only wins an average of 16 or 17 games per season, that's not the end of the world at all. We might have overpaid for Beltran or not - now it seems like market value and who's to say that we won't be looking at Santana's contract like that in 2 or 3 years. What worries me is that if we made the playoffs, which has historically been his particularly weak spot, he could be vulnerable.

i was thinking right along with you until the playoffs part. I can't assume that. His velocity and HRs are concerning me greatly. We didn't get him because of his impeccable grooming. They seemed to be clobbering the changeup, so let the hypothesizing begin!

Calm down guys, it's just a slow start. He has a 4.17 April ERA the last 4 seasons.

Wow W, that was insightful. Maybe they mentioned that on the b'cast and I missed it, but either way, thanks for that info.
