Mets Spank Yanks 13-2, that's right 13-2, to Semi-Sweep

It was a victory Mets Nation deserved, prevailing against great obstacles. The Mets overcame ChUmpire Bob Davidson on the field, while fans overcame ESPN himbo's Jon and Joe, their Yankee homerdom (Jon revealed he spent the pregame hanging out in the Spanks clubhouse, and actually offered to buy the team during the broadcast!), and general stupidity (Morgan's 9th inning claim that Reyes and STD had to be able to dance--like a fullback??). Offensively, it was Reyes, Wright and Alou producing like the blue(and orange) print says they do, and there was no separating Church from Plate.

Davidson made one of the worst calls in recent memory, reversing Mike Reilly's correct call of a fair ball off the foul pole, apparently at the special request of Super Terrific Derek and Johnny Traitor. It was so egregious an error, even the boneheads in the booth could tell this was a screw job. I watched the game under protest and shall record the final score as 13-2. The whole sordid affair was made doubly tragic by the robbing of Carlos Delgado, a guy who really can use every HR and RBI he gets. Bring on the Br*ves!!

what happened to willie? how embarassing is it to have your bench coach show more spark than you? willie's a twonk. if they win the next 60 games in a row he should still be sacked :) nice to see the yankmees in chaos at least

remember, willie shows all his sparks behind closed doors. i would say a sweep of the br*ves would make me forget all about willie wanker and the collapse/relapse. For at least a week.

Hey Mr. IMFM, Mr. Keyser and Mr. Bunker! Well, Agent Orthadontis made the Mets look horrible in Game 1 and crushed your dreams of forgetting Willie Wanka and the Losing Factory. Willie's all paranoid now. Well, he's not - he's aware of his impending doom. Every guy before him has cracked at this point, including Bobby V, so can't blame him for that. I just blame him for putting Poopy in when only down 3 runs in the house that the confederacy built. Sadly, I was only 2 pitches off in my homer prediction. But Willie's right - we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. For all we know, Willie has begged Omar to send Heilman down. One thing we also need to think more about. Does The Jacket have any jurisdictional powers in regards to the pitchers or does Willie ultimately rule that domain? Why have a guy like that get vetoed by someone who knows nothing, from what I can tell about pitchers? And where does the relationship between Omar and Petersen come into play here? Is it conceivable that only Willie could be responsible for Heilman staying on the major league club? Someone needs to take a hit for this besides Willie.

YB, you know the Mets are actually playing on a level that matches your pessimism - not a good sign:)

    Hey guys,

No bench coach can save this team.

brilliant stuff mr cver, i think I shall steal that for my title. As you could see from the in-game rantings i besmirched eric simons amazin avenue site with, I have really had it with these bozos.

you're right about the jacket--how has he escaped attention? perhaps by removing his jacket?

Sorry I missed the meet up Keyser--it may have been the season's greatest triumph.

YB, what can i say--they're unwatchable.
